Acorn Medicine Necklace
Acorn Medicine Necklace
Made with Ruby Lace Agate and Coral Beads and Live Oak Acorns
This necklace is full of my prayers for your happiness, health, and healing. The acorns are harvested from a large variety of oak trees here in the Sierra Foothills. They represent the seed of new life and are very calming and grounding.
The inspiration to make these necklaces came from the council of local Maidu elders. They spoke to the cultural importance of the acorns and the oak trees and how we can honor them by utilizing their gifts. If we neglect this method of reciprocity, we could lose the oak trees and the sacred ecosystem they support.
It is good to consecrate your relationship with your necklace by smudging with sacred smoke and setting your intention for what you would like to receive. Incense Cedar is a local and sustainable plant that works well for this purpose. Polished and powdered incense cedar is another wildcraft I produce.
Wearing Instructions: There is a front to the necklace. When putting it on, put the clasp side to your right.
